LFDC Announces Star City Classic as DGPT Q-Series Event

LFDC is excited to announce that the 2025 DGA Star City Classic sponsored by Disc Gauntlet, will return for its third year as a PDGA A-Tier event. This year, we’re also partnering with the Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) to include the Star City Classic in the DGPT Qualifying Series (Q-Series)—a tour launched in 2024 to provide rising FPO and MPO competitors with a merit-based pathway to earning a Tour Card. The Q-Series features multiple PDGA A-Tier events across the U.S., culminating in a finale in the Southeastern U.S. Learn more about the Q-Series here.

We’re also excited to partner with Ace Run Pro and Discin’ Deals to provide post-produced coverage of all three MPO and FPO rounds at Beal Slough DGC and Roper West.

In 2024, the Star City Classic made history once again, breaking its own record as the largest disc golf tournament in Nebraska history. As the event continues to grow as one of the Midwest’s premier disc golf tournaments, LFDC is actively seeking event sponsors at various levels to help elevate the player and spectator experience.
